Crazy to think that it was a month ago today...this very minute...that Suzanne, Megan and I were playing Scrabble in the waiting room of the hospital. I don't think I have ever been so scared in my life, yet I was strangly calm thanks to my sisters. Or I was calm due thanks to my strange sisters. Something like that! lol
There are not enough words to fully express how much I appreciate all of you!. I will always fall short on my thanks. I could have NEVER made it this far without each of you. Thank you to those who have run in races in my name, lifted me up in prayer, brought us meals, sent me cards & e-mails (and voicequilts :-) ), helped raise money for cancer research, joined me at chemo, and so many countless other acts of kindness towards me and my family! You are my army and I will never forget you!

You are so very strong! I understand about being frightened, but calm with the surgery. I was the same way....its just hard to believe you are going to go have these parts of your body removed, but you want to get any cancerous tissues out and out now! I was very calm and laughing and right when I was bing wheeled out (my whole family was in the little prep room and the "love monkey" whom has been in every O.R. with me since with a pix of Ralei attached to his heart) I just started suddenly mid laugh an uncontrolable cry. My nurse just hugged me and whispered kindness into my ear to help me get to the O.R. Veronica I will never forget her.
Its been a month, you are healing no infection issues....you are very impressive.....just keep doing what your doing!!
It is also incredible to have the experience of knowing the human condition is truly one as we have always suspected and you have definite proof of this-yes there is much bad and challenging in this world, but armies of humans just want to care about one another and do what they can when another is challenged and struggling! What a wonderful world!!
Fists up---you have come so very far and cancer is going DOWN!!! Have a beautiful day with your beautiful kiddos and 4 leggers, too!! :) JoAnna
I love this quote: "or I was calm thanks to my strange sisters"! You have a great attitude and are so strong. You are an inspiration to us all!!
